Among the new names in his list are Raila Odinga’s Azimio members.
Among them are Hassan Joho and John Mbadi.
Also nominated is former Kakamega governor and staunch Raila ally Wycliffe Oparanya.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Chairman Mbadi is the new Treasury Cabinet Secretary and National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi is the Energy Cabinet Secretary.
Joho has been nominated to be the new Mining Cabinet Secretary and Oparanya as the Cooperatives Development Minister.

3. Rebecca Miano – Tourism & Wildlife
4. James Opiyo Wandayi – Energy and Petroleum
5. Kipchumba Murkomen – Youth Affairs, Creative Economy & Sports
6. Hassan Ali Joho – Mining, Blue Economy &
7. Dr Alfred Mutua – Labour and Social Protection
8. Wycliffe Oparanya – Cooperatives, MSME Development.
9. Justin Muturi – Public Service
10. Stella Soi Lang’at – Gender, Culture, Arts & Heritage.
Kenya’s opposition leader Raila Odinga has been criticised for urging the youth to dialogue with the government.
The former Prime Minister was speaking at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), where he and other opposition politicians witnessed the assent of the IEBC Bill 2024 into law.
Odinga said the opposition agreed to dialogue with President William Ruto’s government.
This follows weeks of Gen Z-driven protests across the country and has led to the death of over 20 protesters and hundreds of others injured.
