If you’re wondering why the usually visible President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), Dr. Erick Rutto, was absent during President William Ruto’s recent U.S. escapade, you’re not alone.

His conspicuous absence from President Ruto’s entourage has set tongues wagging. Rumours suggest that a denied U.S. visa prevented him from joining the trip.

And he’s not the only one in the hot seat. Another conspicuous absentee, Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen, also reportedly found himself on the wrong side of U.S. border control.

It’s no secret that the corridors of power have whispered Murkomen’s name in less than flattering tones.

The grapevine is ripe with talk of corruption and extortion allegations, casting a shadow over his glittering public image.
