Oparanya who was addressing somewhere in Western Kenya this weekend, indicated that he was only considered in the current position following his years of exemplary work in public office.

Co-operatives and SMEs Cabinet secretary Wycliffe Oparanya reminisced his days as Kakamega County governor for 10 years which he claims he delivered services and development to the people.

The former county CEO added that, President William Ruto was forced to look for him after government challenges started overwhelming him.

Oparanya, therefore, promised to resign from his current position if his advice and counsel will be ignored by the President.

“I did alot for Kakamega residents. Why they have looked around and said this man can help them; but when I tell them lets go this way and they don’t agree, I will withdraw back to my home.

“If you want to be helped you, you must agree to be helped but if you want to remain hard, there will be issues,” he threatened.

Oparanya’s sentiments has fetched a lot of reactions from across the board with former Public Service CS Moses Kuria and a section of UDA Party leaders making counter reactions…CONTINUE READING>>
