Responding to a question posed by MP Caleb Amisi Mr Duale said that according to the law, only the President who is the commander in chief and the spouse are allowed to use the military choppers to fly around the country.

Mr Duale said that the rest of the members in the public service, including the Deputy President and the speaker of the National Assembly can use the military choppers only when allowed by the President.

“Why did the military fear you? Is the Deputy President allowed to use military choppers?” Amisi posed

“The President and First Lady are allowed to use the military choppers. If the Commander-in-Chief allows it, even the Speaker can use the choppers and then it is in order. I do not think the military fear me. Maybe my working style, which I will take to Environment Ministry.” Duale responded

This therefore means that when Mr Gachagua was denied a chance to use the military choppers to fly around the country in occasions back in May and June, it is President Ruto who gave the order, blocking his Deputy from using the choppers...CONTINUE READING>>
