Gachagua praised William Ruto for his decisions, including shelving the Finance Bill 2024 and sacking all Cabinet Secretaries.
He also commended him for personally engaging with Kenyan youth through the X Spaces. Gachagua said he is willing to help the president find competent and diligent individuals who can serve in his government.
The president announced the dismissal of all his Cabinet Secretaries except the Deputy President and Prime Cabinet Secretary.
