In a YouTube video posted on their channel, the now US-based mzungu preacher and content creator from Kitale, whose official name is Isaiah shared his wife Judy, who goes by the moniker, Mama Jimmy was a high school dropout when he proposed to her.
“We met when we were young, just 14-years-old it’s her brother who introduced us. But when I took Mama Jimmy, she was not in school, she had been out of school for some time,”the father of 2 said adding he’d prayed for around 4 months before actualizing the proposal.
He maintained despite not having a certificate of their matrimony, it was 100% valid under God’s eyes as they got married in church and their parents approved.
Touching on why they failed to acquire a wedding certificate if they were of legal age Baba Jimmy revealed his wife’s ID needed to be changed as her date of birth had been incorrectly printed. Correcting it was a hustle and they really wanted to get married.
“You know marriage is not a wedding. A marriage is all about the two of you loving each other and being in Christ and following God’s way that’s what is important,”Mama Jimmy interjected.
Isiaah, who recently relocated his family to a 36-acre ranch in Kentucky, US (his birth country) clarified they’d also done things traditional. With his wife confirming he’d presented her parents with some cows, money and other valuables as dowry.
Mama Jimmy confirmed she never completed her studies, noting even though she met her husband back in 2015 when she was in just 14-years-old he wasn’t the reason. She highlighted she’d tried her best education wise but only made it to form 3, first term.
“I met Baba Jimmy in 2015 when I was still in school,”started off the mother of 2 meekly adding “I didn’t, however, complete my studies. I went up to Form Three, then they changed my school because of lack of fees then I had to change schools again but school fees was an issue so I stayed at home.
