However, as halftime approached, Brazil grew into the game, and Jean Pedroso broke the deadlock with a classic goal and Marquinhos made it 2-0 a few minutes later, shifting the momentum in their favour.

Coming into the second half, Brazil had more possession, but Nigeria had a more attacking mindset. All of their efforts to stage a comeback, however, were futile as Brazil’s defences held firm. The game later ended 2-0 in favour of the Brazilians.

Meanwhile, Italy U20 team won 2-0 against Dominican Republic in their final match. Italy started the game brightly and had more possession, but they were unable to break the deadlock.

However, their perseverance paid off as Chelsea youngster Cesare Casadei scored a fantastic goal to put his team ahead at halftime.

Italy struck again five minutes into the second half, extending their lead to 2-0 with another incredible goal from Amnrosino. Casadei then sealed the win in the dying minutes of the game to see Italy win the game 3-0.

Casadei’s contributions ensured his team’s comfortable victory today and earned them a spot in the tournament’s next round.
