The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has named the successful applicants for the position of 13 Directors who will be deployed to the Regional offices or County Directors after interviewing over 50 Sub-County Directors (SCD) and Deputy Directors recently who had applied for the positions.....CLICK HERE TO READ THE FULL ARTICLE>>>

The successful individuals will now be promoted from job group P to R, withEducation Newslearning that a good number of those considered for promotion include those serving as deputy directors at TSC headquarters and those in the field.

Those promoted from the field include Milton Oyugi who is the current Kericho County TSC Director, Erick Magak who is the current Vihiga Deputy Director, and Carol Nandi who is currently serving as the Migori deputy director.

Also promoted is Everlyne Chemjor who is the current Tongaren SCD in Bungoma County and Catherine Nairoshi who is the Kikuyu SCD in Kiambu County has also been promoted. Before her promotion and deployment to the field, Nairoshi was formerly serving as the Commission Public Relations Officer at the headquarters.

Those promoted from the headquarters includes Peter Njeru who is serving at the staffing directorate has landed the promotion, along with counterpart Fredrick Mwaniki who also served in the same department.

From the headquarters as well, we have Cecilia Nyawira who is stationed at the Teacher Professional Development (TPD) directorate along with Kioko Daniel currently serving in the discipline department.

Also promoted from the headquarters is Evans Esese who is serving at the integrity division, Dr. Catherine Warui who is also drawn from the TPD directorate, and David Mukui from the discipline department as well benefited from the promotions.

Mukui was once a County Director of Machakos but was later deployed to the discipline department at the TSC secretariat.

Fatuma Mursal who has been serving in the research and innovation unit at the Commission headquarters has also benefited from the promotions.

In February this year, the Commission advertised 13 positions of Deputy Director-Teacher Management which is at TSC Job Grade 5 which were created through adopting its new Career Progression Guidelines (CPG) for Secretariat staff.

Those who will be appointed to the positions will have a 5 year renewable contract and they will enjoy a basic monthly salary of between Ksh192, 782 to Ksh288, 051; house allowance of Ksh50, 000; commuter allowance of Ksh16,000; and 30 days annual leave per calendar year....CONTINUE READING>>
