However, the highlight of the evening was when Trump entered the arena, greeted by overwhelming cheers, applause, and chants of support from the audience.

Though he did not approach the stage or speak, Trump’s presence electrified the convention crowd, who eagerly awaited a chance to show their support just two days after the assassination attempt.

The former president’s right ear was heavily but neatly bandaged, evidence of the recent attack. Trump sat in the VIP section for the next hour with his newly chosen running mate, JD Vance, and his immediate family.

Each time the jumbo video screens displayed him, the crowd erupted into applause, showing their unwavering support for their party leader.

As we previously told you, Trump was shot in the ear during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. According to his spokesperson, he was swiftly evacuated from the stage and rushed to a local hospital for treatment.

According to media reports, Trump recounted the harrowing experience of being shot at in the Saturday, July 13 incident described as an assassination attempt by the FBI.

Images shared showed visible blood on his ear and face. The incident unfolded as the Republican presidential candidate began addressing supporters as they prepared for the November 2024 elections.
