League Two AFC Wimbledon have signed Cambridge United forward Saikou Janneh on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year-old has scored one goal in 17 appearances for the U’s in all competitions after joining the League One club from Bristol City last summer.
The Gambian has previously had loan spells at Torquay United, Newport County and Shrewsbury Town. Janneh becomes Wimbledon boss Johnnie Jackson’s fourth signing of the January transfer window.
Everton willing to pay £25m for Ziyech
Everton are willing to pay up to £25m to sign Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech. Ziyech has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea after struggling to find consistent form since joining the club from Ajax.
Chelsea have strengthened heavily in attack this month, bringing in Mykhaylo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke, meaning Ziyech is going to find it difficult to break into the starting eleven. According to Sky Sports, Everton are now interested in signing Ziyech and are willing to pay up to £25m.
Fulham close in on Cedric loan
Arsenal and Fulham are close to agreeing a loan move for Cedric Soares, according to ESPN. After renewed talks this week, a breakthrough has finally been reached and the defender is now expected to join for the remainder of the season. Fulham will cover Cedric’s full wages – reportedly close to £100,00 a week – will not have the option or obligation to make the move a permanent deal.
