Done deal: AFC Wimbledon sign Saikou Janneh

League Two AFC Wimbledon have signed Cambridge United forward Saikou Janneh on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year-old has scored one goal in 17 appearances for the U’s in all competitions after joining the League One club from Bristol City last summer.

The Gambian has previously had loan spells at Torquay United, Newport County and Shrewsbury Town. Janneh becomes Wimbledon boss Johnnie Jackson’s fourth signing of the January transfer window.

Chelsea have not been put off by Benfica’s stern stance on keeping Enzo Fernandez. The Blues pushed hard to sign the Argentina World Cup winner earlier in January – and reports in Portugal suggest they are back in for the midfielder with six days of the window remaining. According to Record, via football.london, Chelsea have made another bid in the region of €100m (£87.8m), plus unnamed players.
