Tinubu’s Victory: Peter Obi Following Footsteps Of Azikwe, Nzeribe – Femi Fani – Kayode

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, has said that Peter Obi of the Labour Party is following in the footsteps of Nnamdi Azikiwe and Arthur Nzeribe by calling for the cancellation of a free and fair election.

Fani-Kayode, a member of the Tinubu, Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, announced this on Friday via his verified Twitter page.

In response to Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party’s rejection of President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the recently concluded presidential election, the APC chieftain questioned why Nigerian politicians were calling for the annulment of a free and fair election.

“Why do Nigerian politicians call for the annulment of a free & fair election after losing & for the scrapping of the Electoral Commission that conducted it? “Zik did so following Shagari’s 1979 election, Nzeribe did so following Abiola’s 1993 election, and Obi did so following BAT’s 2023 election,” he explained.

According to reports, Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and others have gone to the Presidential Court of Appeal Tribunal to challenge Tinubu’s victory. The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Tinubu, the former Governor of Lagos State, the winner of the presidential election on February 25.
