The former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared the president-elect after he polled 8,794,726 votes to win the 2023 Presidential Election ahead of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi on Wednesday.
Having been declared the winner of the presidential election by INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Tinubu.
However, the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was spotted reading the President’s congratulatory statement to him with rapid attention.
Bashir Ahmed who captured the moment tweeted: “Captured the moment our President-elect, Bola Tinubu reading President Muhammadu Buhari’s congratulatory statement.”
In president Buhari’s congratulatory message to the President elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday morning, the President has called Bola Ahmed Tinubu ‘the best person for the job’ admitting that he was elected by the people.
