Ipsita Chakraborty, senior nutritionist at Hungry Koala says, “Thanks to the calcium in milk, your bones might get a little stronger. This is especially helpful as you get older and want to avoid osteoporosis. The caffeine in tea can help you feel more alert and focused. It’s like a gentle nudge for your brainpower. Tea is also full of antioxidants, which are like tiny shields protecting your cells from damage.”

However, for some people, milk and tea every day don’t mix well in the gut. This can lead to bloating, gas, and indigestion. Many milk teas are packed with sugar and calories. Too much of this sweet treat can lead to weight gain and potentially increase your risk of type 2 diabetes. Additionally, excessive caffeine can make you want to visit the toilet more, which could leave you dehydrated if you’re not drinking enough water.

The caffeine in milk tea is a double-edged sword, says Chakraborty. “When consumed daily, it can give you a quick pick-me-up and help you concentrate better. But too much caffeine can also lead to anxiety, restlessness, and make it hard to fall asleep.”
