My husband is a businessman, and I’m a school teacher. We made a pact that we wouldn’t have a child in the first two years of our marriage so we could work hard, save money, and not be stressed during the childbearing period.
Things went well for my husband, and he started making good money in the first two years of our marriage. We even opened an account for a future child. We also agreed to have just one child so we could provide well and save a considerable amount for our child’s future.
We prayed for it, and I eventually became pregnant. We were overjoyed when I confirmed my pregnancy with a test. However, a few weeks later, I went for a scan and was told by the doctor that I was carrying triplets. This was not part of our plan, and I decided not to tell my husband about it.
Now, I’m seven months pregnant, and my husband has been noticing the significant growth of my belly. He asked me about it, and I told him I wanted to surprise him with the news that I was carrying triplets. His reaction was unexpected.
He slapped me, which he had never done before. He demanded that I get an abortion because we had agreed on having only one child, and he doesn’t want to add to our suffering.
