The Pharmacy and Posions Board’s Enquiries and Disciplinary Committee (EDC) has suspended the licences of four pharmaceutical practitioners due to professional misconduct.....CLICK HERE TO READ THE FULL ARTICLE>>>

The disciplinary actions were announced on Monday by the committee chaired by Dr. Richard Muthoka, following what they described as a “review of serious breaches of trust that put public health at risk.”

According to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, the misconduct jeopardised public safety by allowing unqualified individuals to oversee critical pharmaceutical operations.

Another pharmaceutical technologist received a three-month suspension for failing to properly close a former location, allowing an unlicensed individual to continue operating the facility and endangering public health.

In a separate case, a pharmaceutical technologist was suspended for three years for impersonating a student during the Board’s May 2024 exams.

“After a thorough review of the facts and your written confessions, the Board concludes that your actions represent a serious breach of trust and integrity, essential qualities for anyone in the pharmaceutical field,” read part of the Committee’s decision….CLICK HERE FOR MORE ARTICLE>>>
