Theo Hernandez – Like Lloris, the pacey attack-minded AC Milan also picked out of the France squad after picking up an abductor problem.

N’Golo Kante – France’s midfield enforcer is currently out with a hamstring injury which he picked up against Tottenham last month.

Paul Pogba – After re-joining Juventus from Manchester United, Pogba is a serious doubt for the World Cup having undergone surgery after suffering a meniscus injury.

Adrien Rabiot – Like his Old Lady teammate Pogba, Rabiot, who looked set to join Manchester United this summer before the move fell through, also misses out for Les Bleus.
