2. Even though we call them Titus, they’re mackerels

NOW TO THE DIFFERENCES:
The one labelled Y, which we call “original Titus” is Atlantic mackerel (Scomber scombrus). The one labelled Z, which we call “fake Titus” is chub mackerel (Scomber japonicus). From here, you can see that they both belong to the same genus (Scomber). It’s just their species that’s different

1. “Original Titus” labelled Y has smaller head and eyeballs with pointed snout while “fake Titus” labelled Z has big head, eyeballs and snouts.

2. “Original Titus” labelled Y has sharp, thick and wavy black lines while “fake Titus” labelled Z has pale dotted lines around its belly.
