Senator Shehu Sani, a Nigerian author, human rights activist and senator representing Kaduna State at the National Assembly, has taken to his official Twitter platform to opine that seeing is believing as both the people that won and those who lost all want to inspect the INEC materials....CONTINUE READING

In his post, the lawmaker wrote “those who lost want to inspect INEC materials. Those who won the election want to inspect INEC materials. Everyone is left in doubt. The phase of seeing is believing”.

The post by senator Sani is coming hours after the Punch Newspaper reported that the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was declared the winner of the 2023 presidential election held on February 25th, 2023, urged the Court of Appeal in Abuja to order the Independent National Electoral Commission to grant him access to sensitive materials it used for the presidential election.

This was also after the meeting Presidential candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, as well as Mr Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, both went to court to obtain and order granting them access to the INEC sensitive election materials, especially the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).

Meanwhile, Senator Shehu Sani is of the opinion that both those who won (probably Tinubu), and who lost (probably Atiku and Obi), all want to inspect the INEC materials as everyone is in doubt, and if they see the results by themselves, then they would probably be more convinced about the election results.
