The lawmaker was hosted on the Obinna Show, in which he flaunted his pricey wristwatch.
Sudi took himself to the set with a watch, which a quick spot check confirmed costs $128,000 (equivalent to Sh 16.6 million).
He went ahead to say “such watches were not created for animals.”
The display elicited reactions with a section of the citizenry castigating the lawmaker for a supposed arrogance, and showing off in front of an impoverished public.
Sudi’s naysayers argued it was insensitive of him to display his wellness at a time when many Kenyans are having difficulty affording a day’s single meal.
Sing’oei wondered what motivated the show at the expense of deliberating on other issues of national importance.
“Unfortunate interview. To what end?” he posed.
Others who hit on Sudi were former Azimio head of think-tank Makau Mutua who said;
“Sad. Tone deaf. Hubris.”
