President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua on Friday enjoyed tea as they launched Last Mile Electricity Project in Kirungu Village, Kiriaini in Murang’a County.

Ruto had just presided over the launch of the project at the home of Miriam Njeri at Kirungu village when they were served with tea.

“Kunyweni maziwa na chai msiogope,” the President was heard saying as tea was served to him.

Carrying a white-flowered cup, Ruto was seen tasting the tea to ensure it had enough sugar.

“Iko na sukari? He posed. Niongeze kidogo,” he said as the sugar was brought closer to him.

After the tea was stirred, Ruto was seen taking bread and dipping in the tea an indication that the tea was extremely hot.

“Kunyweni chai, don’t be afraid!” he told his delegation.

Ruto was in the county for several development projects.
