The Old Trafford side were one of the most active Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window as they completed the signings of several players to bolster their squad.

However, that has quite worked out well for Manchester United football club so far as they are currently occupying the top half of the Premier League table under manager Erik ten Hag.

But now, Manchester United could be rocked with reports that experienced centre-forward Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way out of the club when the transfer window opens.

The 37-year-old Portugal International, who signed up for Manchester United after departing Serie A side Juventus in 2020 has been an important member of the team.

The veteran striker was hugely influential for Manchester United during the 2021/2022 season where he scored 24 goals and created three assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo has endured a disappointing start to the new 2022/2023 football season having only scored one goal in the eight matches he has played.

It is believed that Cristiano Ronaldo is utterly disappointed with the lack of regular playing time at Manchester United and according to reports from The Sun, he is willing to leave the club next year.

The reports further claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to further continue his football career away from Manchester United and he is willing to leave Old Trafford in January.

And with just one year left on his current contract, it remains to be seen if Manchester United will choose to cash in on Cristiano Ronaldo in January or risk losing him on a free transfer when his contract expires in June 2023.
