Read the letter purportedly written to the President.” Dear Mr. President, I would like to express my gratitude for the opportunity you have extended to me to serve as the Attorney General of the Republic of Kenya.
This is despite the privilege of serving the country as the Cabinet Secretary for Investment, Trade, and Industry before my dismissal.
I am well aware of my qualifications for this unique position.However, after careful consideration and consultation with my family, I have reached the following conclusions:
.My conscience does not permit me to accept another position soon after being fired, as this would go against my integrity.
.My dismissal as a Cabinet Secretary was due to alleged non-performance, despite my best efforts. Therefore, accepting the position of Attorney General would be a betrayal of the people of Kenya.
.As an advocate of the High Court, it is best for me to decline the offer and focus on my private practice.
I thank you for your understanding and wish you and the country all the best.
