This was verified by the administrative secretary to reporters on Monday at the state collation center. She also stressed the importance of INEC taking its time to do things correctly.

Senator Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker for Kaduna Central, criticized the delay in the release of election results, claiming Kano, which has more local governments, had already done so.

He advised against revealing the outcomes followed by a curfew.

“Kano has 44 LGs, and their results were announced,” he wrote. With 23 LGs in Kaduna, INEC is pressing us to 6 o’clock. Is it to make the findings public and announce a dusk to dawn curfew?
