If you recall vividly, the electoral body, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, winner of the Saturday 25th Presidential election.

However, the Chief Spokesman of the Labour Party campaign Council, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, had announced the submission of the petition via a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Tuesday 21st, March 2023 where he said that the process of reclaiming the people’s mandate has started.

According to the post on his Twitter handle, he said, “It is official that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has filed his petition to the presidential elections’ tribunal in Abuja. The process of reclaiming the people’s mandate has started.”
