The deceased’s body was recovered lying in a pool of blood with severe injuries on the head in what was deemed a cold-blood murder.

According to a police report, despite preliminary investigations into the matter, there was still inadequate information to establish the root cause of the officer’s death.

While conducting a probe, the police officers managed to arrest one of the suspects linked to the murder of the officer. The suspect was cornered while attempting to flee.

“He did not go to work, I left him at home and he left after me but never came back only for today morning to receive reports of his death,” narrated the victim’s brother.

The area police commander Lydia Wanjiru while commenting on the incident, called on the residents to desist from taking the law into their own hands.

“In the police department, we have different sectors, everyone who has a complaint should forward it to the relevant authorities,” the police commander stated.
