Wike participated in a town hall meeting with Igbo businesses on Saturday in Port Harcourt

He asserted that regardless of Obi’s outcome, a southerner would be elected president thanks to his involvement in the election.

According to Wike, Obi kept control of the North by winning elections that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) would have won.

“As far as I’m concerned in this race, Obi is my hero,” he said. He asserted that if he hadn’t run for government, power would still have remained in the North.

Reno Omokri has also said in his tweets that Peter Obi had indirectly stolen the vote that would have been added to that of the People’s Democratic Party flag bearer Atiku Abubakar.
