The President who spoke on Monday July 15 during the opening of Njoro Technical Training Institute, told of individuals whom he said are out to cause chaos in the country.

He warned that Kenya is not ready for violence and anarchy adding that those who might be planning to fund the same should shun such, but rather ensure cohesiveness.

“Our youth are not available for retrogressive assignments. Those sponsoring them to cause violence and mayhem must be ashamed of themselves. We ask the Ford Foundation to explain to Kenyans its role in the recent protests. We will call out all those who are bent on rolling back our hard-won democracy,” he stated.

Sentiments echoed by Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika and Njoro MP Charity Kathambi. The duo were categorical that Nakuru is a cosmopolitan county and that as leaders they will continue to advocate for peace.

Meanwhile, The Head of State was categorical that Kenya Kwanza Government is committed towards ensuring that the young people acquire technical skills that can be used in the manufacturing sector.

“Technical and vocational colleges are central to the realization of the Kenya Kwanza Plan. Through them, our youth can acquire requisite knowledge and skills to drive our growth agenda,” he said.

He added that access to employment opportunities and building the capacity base of transforming our Nation requires requisite skills through cutting-edge training.

This TVET institution, among other institutions opened and upgraded across the country increases the reach in training more young people.
