Led by Murang’a Deputy Governor Stephen Munania, nominated MP Sabina Chege, Kangema MP Peter Kihungi, and Gatanga MP Edward Muriu, the leaders stated that the impeachment attempt is an attack on the people of the Mt Kenya region.

During the Golden Jubilee celebrations of ACK Thika Memorial Church School in Gatanga, attended by Gachagua and his wife Pastor Dorcus Gachagua, the leaders criticized those behind the impeachment effort, dismissing it as unproductive politicking. They called on fellow politicians to avoid divisive tactics and instead focus on addressing the socio-economic issues facing Kenyans.

They emphasized the need for the political class to prioritize problem-solving over personal attacks, noting that the next elections are more than three years away.

“To my fellow parliamentarians, I humbly request you, let us stop thinking about personalities but the issues that affect the people. We have no time for sideshows.

I have heard the impeachment rumours but I will not and cannot sign, I have no time for that. We will sit in parliament and discuss things that are helpful to the nation,” Chege said.

At the same time, the nominated MP pushed President William Ruto’s administration to return to the current government’s founding principles rather than looking to men for answers to Kenya’s problems.

Gachagua reprimanded individuals who were politically harassing him as he stood up to address the assembly, telling them it was okay for them to use their theatrical political tactics.

He asked authorities to think about listening to the people in order to better serve them, but he also issued a warning, saying that the people will teach anyone who is not aligned with their causes a lesson.

“Those who want to continue politicking should be allowed to continue but after doing all that, the ground will tell them the truth. When you get time, talk to these people who are our bosses.

Also, find time to talk to the clergy who live with Christians every day and they will tell you the truth so that you make the right decisions and align yourself with the people,” Gachagua said...CONTINUE READING>>
