The West London club still handed long term contracts to new Players during the January transfer window as they signed Enzo Fernandez, Benoit Badiashile, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke but, they couldn’t reach any agreement with Mason Mount on a new deal.

The West London club also signed Joao Felix on loan during the January transfer window. This season is about to be over and there are reports that Chelsea is already making enquiry over the possible transfer of Joao Felix to Stamford bridge permanently or temporarily next summer.

Earlier this season, Chelsea completed the transfer of French Forward Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman is expected to join Chelsea at the end of this season from Rb Leipzig.

I mean, Chelsea signed Christopher Nkunku earlier this season, gave new contract to Reece James and Ben Chilwell while going back and forth on Mason Mount’s contract.

In my opinion, I think the fact that the new Owners haven’t prioritized Mason Mount is because they want to change their direction. The new owners want to let talent to decide who they sign and not getting nostalgic about keeping a homegrown Player.

Mason Mount has been linked with a lot of top Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.
