A man who was arrested after a teenage girl was reportedly raped in woodland in Irlam has been released on bail, police have confirmed. Police said they received reports that the girl had been raped at around 4am yesterday morning (Sunday). A cordon was put in place on the footpath as investigations were carried out through the day. A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape.

MP releases new statement in light of Manchester Airport GMP incident footage He was taken into custody to be quizzed by detectives. Police said in an update issued today (Monday) that the man has since been bailed pending further enquiries.
