In a statement on Friday, Kalonzo said they must be held accountable for trying to destroy Kenya’s present and future.
“On behalf of Kenyans, I also demand that the rogue police officers responsible for the abductions, kidnappings and executions, be brought before our courts and held criminally liable and responsible for the attempt to diminish, dismember and destroy our beloved Republic’s present and future,” he said.
The Wiper leader claimed that Kenya Kwanza has systematically attempted to limit constitutionally guaranteed rights that are clearly and concisely defined under The Constitution of Kenya.
He demanded that President William Ruto take responsibility for all the ‘atrocities’ committed against Kenyan youths.
“These are inexplicable violations of moral and civic responsibilities against Kenyans, Africans and members of the Free and Democratic world,” Kalonzo said on X.
“Our Founding Fathers and Mothers dream and vision of an independent, democratic, progressive and inclusive Republic where every voice, regardless of colour, or tribe, or religion, has the right to be heard and listened to, is in peril.”
His remarks come hours after the persons who were abducted by unknown individuals claiming to be police were found alive.
The three, famously referred to as Kitengela three, had been missing for 30 days, as of Thursday.
Two brothers, Jamil Longton (42) and Aslam Longton (36) were found in Gachie Friday morning.
They had been abducted alongsideFree Kenya Movement coordinator, Bob Njagi, who was also found alive.
Njagi presented himself at Tigoni police station after he was ostensibly dumped around the area by his abductors.
The trio went missing in Kitengela on Monday, August 19, 2024, after being forcefully abducted by people alleged to be police.
Reports indicated that the brothers went missing a few meters from their home.
At the same time, Njagi was allegedly pulled out of a bus in Mlolongo and bundled into a Subaru by unknown people.
