The jet was received on Thursday 5th September amid pomp colour.  It was flown from New York via Canada and Europe to Kenya after being cleared for entry into service. Phoenix aviation has been offering executive charters and air ambulance services for the last 30 years.

Addressing the press at Wilson airport, the chairman of Phoenix Aviation board, Captain Steve Parkinson said, “It’s a big celebration. It coincides with our 30th anniversary and it is a wonderful addition to the fleet.”

The chairman who was one of the captains on the flight noted that this will help the charter carrier to expand its global medical evacuations, charters as well as servicing governments and tourism. The other captain on the flight was Mr. Kyle Lucas. They were assisted by first officer Mr. Russell Parkinson.

The Company’s General and Operations Manager, Mr. Njoroge Wanyutu said, “The new aircraft is a Super Mid-Size Jet of the Citation Sovereign C680, and is known for its exceptional range, comfort and performance, making it an ideal choice for long-haul intercontinental flights and providing seamless travel experiences.”

He added that with its state-of-the-art technology and spacious cabin, the fleet of C680 will ensure that their clients enjoy unparalleled luxury and convenience, whether they are travelling for business or leisure.

“The jet can give us good range in terms of non-stop flights into Dubai, non-stop flights into Accra, non-stop flights into Asia, and even non-stop flights into Southern Europe. So this gives us a very good capability whereby we don’t have to keep on stopping along the way for fuel stops. Currently, with the addition of this sovereign, we have a fleet of 13 aircraft, seven of which are business jets and six of which are turboprop aircraft.”

Phoenix Aviation boasts of having footprints in countries like Australia, Tokyo, USA, Europe, and across Africa.
