Victor Osimhen’s future is set to be one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window, with the Nigeria striker reportedly courted by some of the world’s biggest clubs.

He’s enjoying an exceptional campaign at Napoli, who are currently 15 points clear at the top of Serie A, with Osimhen also enjoying a comfortable lead in the goalscoring charts following a record-breaking campaign.

The 24-year-old has become a player heavily touted with a big transfer in the summer, having helped the Azzurri make a push for the Scudetto once again. 19 goals in 21 Serie A appearances have underlined his performance levels this campaign, with Napoli now 15 points clear of second-placed Inter Milan.

While focus will undoubtedly be on winning the title, Osimhen has been discussing the possibility of a transfer in the future. And Ighalo, who spent a year at United, admitted that Osimhen has the ability to become a success at Old Trafford.

‘I think it’s a good fit because he is a young boy, he runs and he can score goals,’ Ighalo told Sky Sports News. ‘Having Victor Osimhen and Rashford in the top at Manchester United will cause any defender panic because they are two fast players and they are goalscorers.

I think he will fit in Manchester United so well. ‘I know him so well, he’s like a brother to me. We talk every once in a while, I advise him, I talk to him and I tell him to keep working hard and believe in himself, which he is doing. He is on the right path.’
