In an internal advertisement, the county announced 23 positions, while its external advert posted 22 posts. The vacant positions cut across different departments and fields.
“All applications should reach the secretary, Nyeri County Public Service Board, on or before September 10, 2024, at 5.00 pm,” the devolved unit stated.
Eligible employees are requested to fill out the employment form which can be downloaded from the county website, www.nyeri.go.ke,” it added.
The following are the vacancies:
Medical social workers.
Engineer.
Administration officers.
Assistant occupational therapists.
Community oral health officers.
Pharmacists.
Dental officers.
Director – disaster management.
Principal ICT officer.
Director – ICT.
Deputy director – revenue.
Chief officer – economic planning.
Legal officers.
Clerical officers.
Human resource management assistants.
Support staff (KCSE certificate required).
Office administrative assistants.

In related news, the county government of Machakos has advertised massive vacancies seeking to address youth unemployment. The devolved unit noted successful candidates will work under its Ng’arisha Mtaa Programme.
Machakos county explained that applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and should reside within its boundaries.
