Senator Dino Melaye took to his Facebook page on Tuesday to take a swipe at his party’s opponent in Delta State. Melaye asked voters in Delta State not to vote for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress Ovie Omoagege.

The staunch People’s Democratic Party stalwart said that he was fingered in the stolen mace scandal that rocked the Senate when he was a serving senator.

Omoagege who was a former member of the People’s Democratic Party has been going around Delta State canvassing for votes like his People’s Democratic Party counterpart and they are expected to have a keen contest.

Delta State is home to the PDP vice presidential candidate Ifeanyi Okowa. Okowa lost the majority of votes in his state and he has since been silent, making efforts to save his face by winning the gubernatorial election for his party.
