French Forward Christopher Nkunku will be a Chelsea Player next summer. The Rb Leipzig Star has already signed a contract with Chelsea last year but he’s going to arrive at the West London club at the end of this season.
Just last summer, Chelsea sold Timo Werner to Rb Leipzig where they bought him in 2020. The West London club signed Timo Werner for £47million in 2020 as an upgrade to Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud but, he failed to reach the expectations and that made Chelsea to sign to Romelu Lukaku.
The arrival of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea compounded Timo Werner’s woes at Chelsea as it reduces his playing time. At the end of last season, he moved back to Rb Leipzig permanently.
Timo Werner and Christopher Nkunku were teammates at Rb Leipzig before Chelsea signed the Former in 2020 and the German Forward still met Christopher Nkunku at Rb Leipzig when he returned last summer but, it won’t be for long because Christopher Nkunku is on his way to Stamford bridge.
According to Sport Bild, a German Sport publication, Timo Werner gave some golden advise to Christopher Nkunku. He said: “At a club like Chelsea, you don’t play like you do at Rb Leipzig because there’s more Competition.”
There’s a fierce competition at Chelsea and Timo Werner has witnessed it, he was even a victim of that competition because the reason why he left Chelsea was because he wasn’t playing.
Chelsea signed Mykhaylo Mudryk in January for £89million, including performance related add-on but, the Ukrainian Winger is not a starter at Chelsea. That’s to explain the level of competition in the Chelsea squad. For a Player to be assured of a spot in the starting lineup, he has to be consistently good.
