Atiku won in 18 of the State’s 20 local government areas, according to results of the presidential election collated in Bauchi since Sunday and ending on Monday at 6 p.m. Tinubu fared better in just two of the State’s local government areas.

Atiku received a total of 426,607 votes, while Tinubu received 316,694 votes, according to the results announced by the returning officer, Prof. Abdulkadir Sabo Muhammad of Federal University in Dutse Jigawa State, at 7 p.m. on Monday.

However, the NNPP presidential candidate, Dr Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, got 72,103 votes and was trailed by Labour Party’s Peter Obi with 27,373 votes in the exercise.
