Several participants we spoke to revealed that many meetings took place at night at the Entim Sidai hotel in Karen, owned by Tuju, while others were held at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation (JOOF) offices.

Tuju confirmed meeting some of the people involved in the discussions. He stated that as a member of Jubilee, he could not negotiate on behalf of ODM.

Tuju also confirmed attending a meeting at the SKM Centre a day after President Ruto nominated ODM chairman John Mbadi, Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi, Wycliffe Oparanya, and Hassan Joho as Cabinet nominees.

“It is true I was there in the morning. Oparanya, Jeremiah Kioni, Peter Munya, and Kalonzo Musyoka were also present at the meeting,” Tuju said.

In an interview with Taifa Leo, Kioni disclosed details about the July 25, 2024, meeting. He said Tuju tried to persuade Musyoka to support the agreement between President Ruto and Odinga.

Oparanya, Kioni said, informed those present at the meeting that he had been offered a position in the Cabinet.
