Eaglessightnews recalls that on April 24, 2024, a prominent gospel singer, Egbin Orun, passed away, which threw the gospel music industry into mourning and sparked mixed-reactions from Netizens.

The shocking death of Aduke Gold is contained in a post shared on Tuesday by fellow gospel artist, Esther Igbekele. Esther Igbekele in her tribute on social media with a picture of Aduke Gold with the caption writes, “A general has fallen. RIP.”

Despite the competitive nature of the gospel music industry, Aduke Gold made a significant impact with her soul-lifting songs and unwavering dedication to her craft. “Her talent and passion earned her a growing fanbase and increasing popularity, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by many.”

Aduke Gold, who started music professionally in 2004, came to stardom with her live performance at the first remembrance of the late gospel artiste, Baba Ara. One of her famous tracks, “Nitori Ogo,” which she released in 2021, also brought her into the limelight. Aduke, who was the 11th child of her late parents, grew up in the Ogba and Badagry areas of Lagos.

Though the cause of her death still remains unclear as at the time of this report, Eaglessightnews gathers that the artist had been battling with vertigo, which caused frequent fainting spells, a constant challenge she faced while pursuing her music career.

Eaglessightnews gathered that Aduke Gold died in the early hours of Tuesday, August 12, 2024, at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, after a brief illness.
