In a bid to address the menace, Melly who is also Tinderet MP noted that the assembly has come up with measures which will see year of graduation, performance based on transcripts being given top priority.
Speaking in his Tinderet Constituency, he noted that all graduates are eligible for employment irrespective of their ages after the committee pushed the amendment of laws that barred candidates aged above 42 years from employment.
“There were issues in the past but we have taken action to address the problem. As a committee, we have made it a law that the one’s year of graduation and performance be given priority,” he noted.
According to him, the laws which he described as punitive had locked out many candidates, leading them to desperation.
He observed that the government has posted tutors to all Technical Training Institutes (TTIs) across the country; a move he says is aimed at boosting the sector.
