She was born and raised by a single mother as the firstborn. Her mother didn’t have a stable job and used to survive by doing manual jobs.
When she was unable to pay her school fees, her mother talked to one of her brothers who agreed to take her in and help in educating her. His uncles honoured the promise of educating her.
He was however a drunkard and never had time for it. Her aunt runs away after a few months due to her uncle’s drunken behaviours. She was left all alone which made her fall into the trap of a man who showed love and care.
One day on her way home from school a man approached her and showed her love that she hadn’t experienced from her mother or her relatives. The man would buy her goodies and escort her home whenever she was late to go to school.
When the man asked her to accompany him to his house, she agreed not knowing that he would sleep with her and impregnate her. After the man knew that she was pregnant he run away.
The neighbours saw her pregnant and informed her uncle. Her uncle beat her up and raped her instead of helping her. It became a habit such that every evening he would return home drunk and sleep with her.
