“I’m stranded in New York City, no flights to Nairobi,” said the MP.
The chaos at JKIA follows a strike by airport workers who have downed their tools in protest of the Kenyan government’s plan to lease the management of the airport to Adani Energy Solutions. The proposed deal would see the Indian conglomerate manage the airport for a period of 30 years, a move that has sparked significant backlash from unionized workers.
