Although Chelsea had plenty of chances in the opening 45 minutes, Casemiro and Anthony Martial scored at either end of the first half, before Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot and Marcus Rashford notched his 30th goal of the season in all competitions. Chelsea substitute Joao Felix eventually found the net late on, but the game was already long gone.

Here are the three Chelsea players who performed well despite their loss to Man United;

Lewis Hall

Perhaps should have watched Jadon Sancho’s run ahead of Anthony Martial’s goal but overall was a consistent presence down the left flank.

Twice should have seen his crosses converted in the opening half and produced an incredible pass to Mykhailo Mudryk early in the second period.

Kai Havertz

The Germany international was the most effective attacker but also missed a simple header. Lacks confidence in front of the goal, despite being the club’s top scorer this season.

Joao Felix

The team declined after his introduction. Wasteful in attack until a fine consolation goal, having offered nothing defensively.
