In a statement posted on his X account, Kuria condemned the rumors, attributing them to misleading media reports.

He urged Kenyans to disregard the baseless claims and assured that any official information regarding new appointments would be communicated through his verified social media channels.

The rumors also alleged similar appointments for former ministers Aisha Jumwa and Ababu Namwamba as ambassadors to Switzerland and Chad, respectively.

These speculations emerged amid ongoing discussions about President William Ruto’s new cabinet lineup, which has excluded several former ministers, including Kuria.

Kuria’s denial follows his recent criticism of Ruto’s cabinet nominations, particularly targeting those from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.

Kuria expressed skepticism about the new nominees’ ability to address critical issues, such as the repayment crisis affecting the Hustler Fund and challenges in the coffee sector.
