Erik Ten Hag will be delighted with how his side played on Tuesday night and hopes to continue that form into the weekend when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Goalkeeper and Defence

GK – Altay Bayindir – 7/10 – A simple clean sheet for the Turkish international who had no shots to save from his opponents as they didn’t hit the target once.

LB – Diogo Dalot – 7/10 – Much like Bayindir, Dalot didn’t have much to do throughout the game but helped contribute to a clean sheet.

CB – Jonny Evans – 7/10 – Evans is still doing well for United despite his age of 36, yet another clean sheet for him.

CB – Harry Maguire – 8/10 – Maguire helped to set up one of the Manchester United goals after he ran from defence with the ball into an attacking position before passing it wide in the build-up to one of Christian Eriksen’s goals.

RB – Toby Collyer – 7/10 – Youngster Collyer can play in midfield or as a full-back and he looked as comfortable as ever for Ten Hag’s team on Tuesday.

Midfield

CDM – Casemiro – 8/10 – A much better showing for Casemiro whose form has been poor recently, he helped control possession in midfield.

CDM – Manuel Ugarte – 7/10 – A solid performance from Ugarte on his first start for the club, he looks to be a good addition early on.

CAM – Christian Eriksen – 10/10 – It looked like we were watching prime Spurs Eriksen. He created countless chances for Manchester United and popped up with two goals himself.

Attack

LW – Antony – 9/10 – Ten Hag commented on Antony this week saying he has to earn his place, but the winger was fantastic against Barnsley scoring a penalty to get on the scoresheet.

RW – Alejandro Garnacho – 10/10 – A majestic performance, Garnacho was involved in virtually everything that United did. He had two goals and two assists.

ST – Marcus Rashford – 10/10 – Back in his natural striker position, Rashford looked superb scoring twice and providing one assist, the partnership between him and Garnacho worked perfectly.

Substitutes

Noussair Mazraoui – 7/10 – Former Bayern Munich full-back Mazraoui came on in the 63rd minute and helped keep a clean sheet for the Red Devils.

Matthijs De Ligt – 6/10 – De Ligt came on after 78 minutes and hardly had anything to do in the game.

Bruno Fernandes – 8/10 – The Manchester United captain came in and made an instant impact with two assists in the game, he was pulling the strings in midfield.

Joshua Zirkzee – 6/10 – Zirkzee hardly touched the ball after coming on in the 63rd minute, he’ll be disappointed not to get on the scoresheet.

Amad Diallo – 6/10 – Diallo was subbed on after 84 minutes and so didn’t get much of a chance to make an impact on the game….CLICK HERE FOR MORE ARTICLE>>>
