There’s no denying the impact Christian Eriksen has had on Manchester United. His arrival in the midfield has undoubtedly provided United with the creativity and calmness they’ve lacked in recent years.
Paul Pogba had everything in his power to offer this to United, but he fell short. Few will argue that Eriksen is giving United what they wanted from Pogba.
Didier Deschamps, who has coached Pogba at the international level, has also praised Eriksen. “But the ability that he (Eriksen) shows with his club in the position he plays, because he has always been someone who has a remarkable technical ability,” said Deschamps.
“But to play so frequently for his club in the midfield, to see the volume of games he plays, this ability even to recover is impressive.
