Guardiola is the ideal coach, according to Rodri, to guide Man City to further championships in the near future.
Guardiola’s current term with Man City is up in the summer of 2023, but the former Barcelona manager has been coy about any potential extensions, raising doubts about his future with the Premier League champions.
Although Guardiola has already spent more time at Etihad than at any other team he has managed, Rodri thinks Guardiola is best equipped to extend his tenure at Man City.
Rodri told The Times, “We all love him. He’s done a tremendous job in recent years.
We will all be really thrilled if he decides to stay because he is our manager. Three years with Pep have passed, and I look forward to many more.
“Coaches do wear out,” he continued. It makes sense after seeing Diego Simeone, a coach who has been with the same team for 11 or 12 years.
But I believe Pep can envision this club’s future with the current roster for the foreseeable future.
He must be present. We can achieve more success with his help because he is the ideal coach for us.
