September had fewer games than usual since several games were postponed after the Queen passed away, three games were cancelled last week owning to the limited numbers of police.

The Citizens played twice in September, with both of their matches taking place in the West Midlands. With one ending in a draw vs Steven Gerrard’s men & the other ending in a victory over Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton.

In the two games, Belgium international, Kelvin De Bruyne contributed three assists, including two in the win over Wolves. As a result, the veteran playmaker has been nominated for the September award.

England international, Marcus Rashford is also in the race win the award after contributing two goals and two assists for Erik Ten Hag’s United this month.

In the 1-0 victory over the Foxes, the 24-year-old assisted Jadon Sancho’s goal, and on September 4th, he scored a brace in the 3-1 victory over the Gunners while also assisting Antony’s first goal.

Along with Alex Iwobi of Everton, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg of Tottenham Hotspur, and Jacob Ramsey of Aston Villa, Philips Billing of Bournemouth, the Manchester pair were nominated.
