Radio personalities Maina Kageni and Mwalimu King’ang’i today discussed the possibility of making Gen Zs the official opposition in Kenya.

Speaking on the morning conversation, Main highlighted that the Gen Z movement has been doing the most as far as keeping the government in check in concerned.

The Kenyan laws always mandate the opposition to keep the government in check and that mandate seems to have shifted to the Gen Z camp.

Most of their demands towards the government have been met prompting the discussion on whether they should assume the role of the official opposition.

Maina Kageni: Do we have an opposition? Should we bestow Gen Z as our official opposition? Maina asked.

This after the Azimio La Umoja – One Kenya Coalition said they will not enter into a dialoguewith the Kenya Kwanza administration,.
